Community Maintenance and General Services: Clean, Safe, and Thriving Neighborhoods

Roosevelt Williams III believes that every neighborhood deserves to be a place residents are proud to call home. Too often, underserved areas in District 4 face neglected infrastructure, overgrown parks, broken sidewalks, and delayed responses to essential services. Roosevelt envisions a San Diego where every community—regardless of zip code—receives the care and attention it deserves.

As City Councilmember, Roosevelt will champion increased funding for street repairs, consistent trash collection, enhanced lighting in public spaces, and proactive code enforcement to maintain cleaner, safer neighborhoods. He will also push for innovative “Adopt-a-Block” programs, empowering residents and local organizations to partner with the city in beautification efforts and rapid reporting of issues.

By prioritizing these improvements, Roosevelt’s plan creates not only more attractive and functional spaces but also promotes public health and neighborhood pride. Cleaner streets and better-maintained facilities are directly linked to reduced crime rates, improved mental health, and stronger community bonds—laying the foundation for lasting positive change.
